Welcome to the Official Blog Tour for Somebody Worth It, the first book in the For Me series, by Nicki Nalley Siedler!

Genre:
New Adult Romance
Series:
For Me Series
Publish Date:
April 11, 2014

Synopsis:
Millie has struggled over the years to keep the spark alive in her relationship. Starting at a young age her life has been a series of trials and tribulations, and it's only getting more complicated. She's followed stepping stones that she wasn't always sure were leading her in the right direction, causing her to wonder if she is on the right path.

Her husband, Brian, loves her dearly, but has a poor way of showing it. Stress easily beats him down, and his own protective nature seems to fight against him. He's shutting down, virtually ignoring and alienating the people around him when they need him the most.

Millie lost her job and they're about to lose the house. On the verge of losing it all, she questions everything. Where did it all go wrong? How did they get to this point? However, the answers could be more unsettling than anticipated.

Hearts will be broken when long held secrets are revealed. Is a chance at happiness worth the destruction it leaves in its wake? Is it worth the risk? Worth the pain for everyone involved? Worth the effort Is she somebody worth it?

*My Thoughts*
Well, talk about a story that any average young family can relate to. A story that tells of a couple's frustrations financially, emotionally and physically which is so realistic that readers can relate to them. Nickie Nalley Seidler has accomplished an amazing task of bring so much realism to Millie and Brian's problems as a married couple. In addition to the realism Nickie has created in Somebody Worth It, she also created a twist in the story that keeps readers wanting more.

I was completely immersed in the lives of Millie, Brian and Kate's, as this family dealt with difficulties and changes in their lives...even more so, when twist(s) in the story makes everything even more complicated for this family. These characters are so realistic, that I even got frustrated with their choices on handling their troubles. I enjoyed the multiple points of views, which gave me an understanding on all sides, not just Millie's side. Although the majority of the book is in Millie's point of view, other points of view gave the story more depth in understanding and knowing these characters. I even found myself frustrated, angry and upset, at times, with every turn of the page, going through the lives of Millie, Brian, Kate and, even Dean! Sheesh! By the end of the book, I found myself exasperated over the whole story...just like some drama...haha!

What now!?! Well, I guess, I have to read the next book in this series to learn what happens next in their lives...<sigh> just like a soap opera...haha...just better! LOL!

I totally enjoyed this read, especially with the "ups" and "downs" of the relationship and marriage between Millie and Brian...and the twist(s) that are thrown in to complicate things even more in their lives...haha! Looking forward to the next book!
